Elementary Religious Education Classes

Picture
Students in Grades K through 5 meet on Saturdays from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. during the months of September through April. Elementary grade children experience a spiral approach to learning our Catholic Faith as the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church--Creed, Sacraments, Morality, and Prayer--are taught and developed on every grade level every year.  There is an emphasis on understanding the Scriptures, particularly the Sunday Gospel.  In addition to their texts, each grade uses the Pflaum Gospel Weekly to study the Gospel at their level. Information about First Reconciliation and First Communion can be accessed at the First Reconciliation/First Communion web page. Below are photos of our catechists and some scenes from this year's elementary religious education classes.
