Parish Ministries
Mature disciples make a conscious, firm decision, carried out in action, to be followers of Jesus Christ no matter the cost to themselves. Beginning in conversion, change of mind and heart, this commitment is expressed not in a single action, nor even a number of actions over a period of time, but in an entire way of life. It means committing one's very self to the Lord. Stewardship is an expression of discipleship, with the power to change how we understand and live out our lives. St. Philip the Apostle Parish offers many opportunities for people to express their discipleship by involvement in numerous parish ministries including Liturgy (Extraordinary Ministers, Lectors, Ushers, Altar Servers, Church Art & Environment, etc.), Music (Cantors, Adult, Contemporary, Resurrection, and Children's Choirs), OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults, previously known as RCIA), and numerous formation, outreach, and prayer ministries including PADS, St. Vincent de Paul, Knights of Columbus, In the Name of Jesus Prayer Group, Legion of Mary, International & Friday Evening Rosary Groups, Scripture Study, Senior Socialites, Grief Support Group, Technology Group, etc. To request information about any of these ministries, please fill out this only Ministry Information Request Form and a representative from the ministry will contact you.
