Pet Blessing

St. Francis of Assisi is known for his love of animals, and the recent pet blessing brought out parishioners who are also extremely appreciative of the love that their pets bring to their lives. Some sought a special blessing for a pet with medical issues, and all hoped that God would grant their special four-legged family members a healthy year. Deacon Phil pointed out that St. Francis loved animals so much because he sensed God’s gracious love in creating them for all the good they provide to us. His exceptional love of God led to his great love of all creation.
