St. Philip the Apostle School utilizes Google Apps for Education for students, teachers, and staff. As with any educational endeavor, a strong partnership with families is essential to a successful experience. Many students and teachers will gradually be incorporating Google apps for Education as a means of creating and communicating digitally. |
Students:
Drive - a word processing, spreadsheet, drawing, and presentation toolset that is very similar to Microsoft Office, with document sharing/storing capabilities for easy collaboration between users
Calendar - an individual calendar providing the ability to organize schedules, daily activities, and assignments
Contacts – to manage and help students find and organize other students and groups they collaborate with
Parents:
Since student access is available 24/7 parents can access documents with their student. Parents have a more active role in being a part of their child’s projects. Parents can use the Google Drive - Parent Portal by Hapara to view their child’s work at any time.
Teachers:
Teachers and students can now share folders and documents with the students which allows for real-time monitoring of student progress.
